GARDEN PARTY SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

SATURDAY

All Day
ETSY Village, Country Living Fair Village, Our Heritage Village, New York Makers Village and all other Festival Vendors (up and down Main St.)

All Day
Josh and Brent Meet and Greet. (Upstairs at the Beekman 1802 Mercantile)
Brent and Josh will be in the second-floor showroom of the Mercantile all day signing copies of their cookbooks and taking photos.

All Day in the historic Roseboro Hotel
Enjoy Victorian High Tea at Miss Lodema’s Tea Room. Serving a full high tea from 11 am to 3 pm. High Tea comes complete with a choice of two soups, scones with jam and clotted cream, a variety of tea sandwiches, decadent desserts, and a wide selection of teas, coffee, or pink lemonade, all presented in best Victorian manner. Call 518-860-5513 to make your reservations.

10 – 11 am at Beekman Mercantile
Learn from renown esthetician, Eileen Harcourt, on perfecting the art of layering fragrances. Scent is the most potent sense and the strongest tie to memory. Create harmonious aromas that compliment your personality and mood and join us for a Bespoke Fragrance Experience.

10 – 11 am on the Main Stage in Chalybeate Park
The Mastery of Shaving: New York Maker Adam McCarthy from Roosevelt Grooming Company will be providing an overview of traditional wet shaving practices and techniques. He will be discussing everything from the science behind various shaving products to how to strop a razor and get a perfect lather from shaving soap. Adam will also spend some time talking about the pros and cons of traditional shaving versus modern shaving practices, and the environmental impact associated with each

11:30 am – 12 pm on the Main Stage in Chalybeate Park
Beekeeping and our Future – Dean Haskin of Carlisle will bring his live hives and show you what’s happing in a beehive and all the ways you can help honeybees thrive!

12 – 12:30 pm on the Main Stage in Chalybeate Park
Become an Offical Sharon Springs Honorary Citizen. (Chalybeate Park Pavilion) Show up to take the Oath of Honorary Citizenship, to become an official, card-carrying, honorary Sharon Springs Citizen.

1 – 2 pm at Beekman 1802 Mercantile
Join Chef Adam Foti who we have recently tasked with creating delicious dishes with our world-famous artisanal food. Come and sample his Carbonara dish with our chévre cheese.

12:30 – 1:30 pm on the Main Stage in Chalybeate Park
Plants and Herbs Especially useful for Honey Bees and Butterflies – Kenyan Parsons of Parsons Farm in Sharon Springs will delight the crowd with knowledge of the best plants to have in your yard for our nectar loving friends.

2 – 4 pm on the Main Stage in Chalybeate Park
Lucia Lexington and Levi Byrd have been performing their brand of musical entertainment together for over 20 years. Lucia plays the keyboard, sings throaty renditions of the blues, current pop music, and blows a mean blues harp. Levi is outstanding on the acoustic/electric guitar, and he’s not too shabby on tenor sax. He has been involved in the music industry for the past 30 years. Their combined talents are sure to impress and entertain you.

4 – 5 pm at Beekman 1802 Mercantile
Join Aray M. Till – the Managing Editor of our award-winning magazine as she shows us how to make one of the summer refreshing treats from our latest issue – Flower Garden Ice Pops.

Join Artisan Deanna Nelson from Zoar Tapatree for a maple syrup tasting paired with our Beekman 1802 Chèvre. Did you know that the flavor of maple syrup changes throughout the season as the sap is collected? Every batch you try is a different surprise!
