What was the inspiration for the There’s No Place Like Home holiday theme?
Dr. Brent: We were on an airplane and one of the film options was The Wizard of Oz, in celebration of the 85th anniversary of the movie's premiere. As I watched it, it brought back so many memories from my childhood about waiting for the movie to air on TV.
As an adult, the movie's messages about not taking for granted the people and things you love are so powerful. Holiday time and gift giving is also a way which we take the time to show gratitude, love and Kindness.
What gifts from this year’s collection are you most excited for?
Dr. Brent: It would have to be our new Advent Calendar! This is our most exciting launch every year, but this year's calendar is extra special. As an extra Kind treat, we've included more full-sized products than ever before, as well as an interactive storybook that you can enjoy with your family.
Josh: Mine would have to be a tie between our There's No Place Like Foam Bar Soap Set, simply because it puts a smile on so many of our Neighbor's faces year after year, and our Best in House Award-Winning Skincare Set, because it's a testament to how far we've come as a brand backed by the science of goat milk and Kindness.
What are your favorite holiday traditions that remind you of home?
Dr. Brent: On Christmas Eve at my grandmother's house, she would always make 10-12 of the same finger foods each year. She would put them on the same dishes and even in the exact same places on the table. Even to do this day, we still make some of these things in honor of her.
Josh: For me it’s the decorations. Every ornament, ceramic figurine, vintage Christmas postcard tells the story of all the people who celebrated before me.
What’s your favorite way to spread Kindness during the holiday season?
Dr. Brent: Talking to as many Neighbors as possible to let them know we are thinking of them. A smile is contagious and is the best beauty regimen of all.
Josh: Every Christmas morning since 2009, members of Team Beekman have visited the Sharon Springs assisted living home to sing carols and share Beekman gifts. (Önder has also joined us in song since she was a puppy in 2013!)
