It’s very bittersweet for me to see the first season of The Fabulous Beekman Boys come to an end.  As you’ve watched Brent, Josh, and Farmer John go through the seasons on the farm, I have watched the last year of my own life (behind the camera) go by in 22 minutes + commercials every Wednesday night.  The experience of making the series was exhilarating and exhausting; every shoot another adventure in the ongoing story of the Beekman and Brent & Josh.

It’s an interesting existence when your own life actually revolves around documenting the experiences of someone else’s life. I cried with them over the pigs, spent hours wrapping soap with Brent in hopes of taking a little off his plate, and was probably more nervous for Josh than he was for himself when he cooked for Jean-Georges.

There are many things I can think to share with everyone about Brent, Josh and Farmer John as the series winds down.  I could tell you that Brent is the hardest working person I’ve ever met in my life, and being around him makes you want to work harder, too (although sometimes it just makes you want to take a nap). And I could mention that at any given moment you can walk into the barn and find Farmer John there with his girls, willing to teach you something new about them with every visit. And I could tell you that Josh is not only the wittiest, most clever wordsmith around, I’m also pretty sure the first time he did the model walk it was his way of cheering me up during a tough day, because he’s that kind of guy.

But since you are reading this, I don’t really need to convince you how wonderful Brent, Josh, and John are. So instead, I want to acknowledge a few other people who have devoted the last year of their lives to the series. Without this team, the show would not be what it is, and I am forever grateful to them for sharing their talents.

Thanks to you all for watching. We’ll see you next year.

I can't remember how I stumbled upon the show at the Planet Green website when it first started, but I LOVE the Beekman boys! And I'm so happy that the series will be continuing. I'm in Australia so I can't watch full episodes which is so frustrating. I just can't find them anywhere or there's a restriction because I'm in Australia.

So I'm eagerly anticipating the DVD! I can't wait for it to come out. Keep up the great job Brent, Josh, and the team. And thank you for such a wonderful, entertaining show!

There was nothing on TV during August so somehow we tripped over the planetgreen channel and thank heavens we did! Finding Josh & Brent was a gift. My fiance laughs out loud everytime Farmer John breaks down about his goats. It's so darn sweet that it is hilarious. We couldn't believe how Brent made John sleep on the vintage sofa after his surgery….and no TV…..lol I never saw anything more uncomfortable. The funny thing is, I think Brent was doing his best. Watching these guys is touching, funny and very informative. All I want to do now is have a farm and goats and make soap and cheese! Can't wait for the next installments!

Angela, Pyong, Davis, David, Amanda, and Aaron –

Thank you doesn't seem like enough but there it is… thank you for using your creative talents to bring Josh and Brent and the extended Beekman 1802 family into our homes. All the beautiful words that you wrote here about the boys and being at the farm – you and your team have conveyed to all of us week after week during the series. You've started a revolution that not only entertains us, but enlightens us and challenges us to do better for ourselves and those around us and thus live better, richer lives. As Brent says, it's a shared experience. Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us.

I have enjoyed watching from Australia, every moment of your journey towards sustainable living and a sustainable future. Your show is full of laughter as well as the odd moment of sadness such as when Porgy and Bess provided for your food needs. You treated them with such love and compassion. We frequently visit the US and hope to one day see the farm for ourselves

Wonderful show! I was sooo bummed to watch the last episode and find out it WAS the last episode. I've told everyone I know about the Beekman, the guys, the goats, etc. I'm excited to see another season on the horizon.

This is BY FAR my new favorite show! I don't get to watch it at home because I can't afford to upgrade my cable at this time. However, I go twice weekly over to my mother's and grandmother's house to help care for my 93 year old grandmother and my mother, and they get the channel there. I look forward to going and being able to watch you two fabulous boys!! You guys are absolutely terrific! Can't wait until your show is out on dvd! Love you boys!

I must say this show is truly addicting. A co-worker turned me onto this show mid-way through the season and you should have seen me flipping through the shows on the Planet Green channel to try to find all the previous shows. Finally, I got caught up and feel I made new friends in Brent and Josh to Doug and Garth and ESPECIALLY Farmer John. His tender heartedness towards his goats is just a thing of beauty. I can not wait to tune into Season 2. I also supported Josh for him to quit his full time job in New York by purchasing his latest book on Kindle. YOU GUYS(Josh, Brent, Dough, Garth, Farmer John) ROCK!!!

When you are exhausted with documenting others as they live their lives, remember the joy you bring viewers and the service you are doing to present and future small farms in America. WE LOVE ALL OF YOU!!! Keep up the incredible work and here's to Season 2–we can't wait!!!!!!!

Thank you for a wonderful first season. Mark and I love the show. Owners of a farm ourselves (horses instead of goats) we can really appreciate the trials and tribulations and all the hard work you have put into your dream. Best of luck and we're looking forward to season 2.

So, I was channel surfing last night looking for something to lull me to sleep. I whizzed past the Green Channel as I usually do, catching only "Beekman" something, and I thought, "wait, that'll do it, sleepytime, here we come!" Well, much to my chagrin, I fell in love with the show within the first five minutes — so much so, that I watched the next episode and got upset when there weren't anymore! I'm recording all the episodes I haven't seen. Thanks for a wonderful treat! Can't wait for next season!

I have taught for 22 years, if you need any help or ideas, I would be thrilled to help you out! Bets wishes for success to you both.

Brent and Josh, thank you for the teachable moment you gave me for my 6 and 8 year old children. As a teacher, I love these times! When we watched your show for the first time, they saw you kiss each other and my 6 year old daughter asked me why two boys kissed each other. I simply explained that you both love each other like mommy and daddy do and everyone can love who they choose to love. My children said, "That's good mom!", I agreed, and we continued to watch your show ever since. My daughter laughs at the animals (she loves them) and my son loves to see how the farm works. I just think you both are sweethearts! Anyway, we live near Bethlehem, PA so we are not that far from your town. We just may come up and visit you Harvest Festival! We love the show and can't wait for more episodes!

AMAZING! I am there even for the reruns. There is always something I've missed, so what is old is new again.

I'm so happy you all are going to return for a second season.

I will not watch Martha (I find her boring),

but I will be front and center for the Beekman Boys. All the best in the up coming season.

Don't forget to check out my web site, I'm a bit odd and off the wall also. But, cute!
