The second annual Sharon Springs Victorian Holiday Celebration doubled in size with even more activities and brilliant costumes.  The village even raised $2000 for the Hurricane Irene flood victims bracing for winter.

We were too busy spreading holiday cheer to take photos, so we relied on our friends Harold Levine, The Classic Image, and Craig Clemow of Arplais Imagery to capture the beauty and camaraderie of Christmas in small town America.

The celebration is always held the first Saturday of December.  Start planning your outfit.  We hope to see you all there. View the video recap below, and click on any of the thumbnails below the video to launch a slideshow.

These beautiful photos show the true spirit of Sharon Springs all year-a town without pretense, full of community spirit and always ready to welcome visitors. My sister in law Gerry and I want to thank everyone for making us feel so much a part of your village each time we come. We wish you a peaceful Christmas season with wishes for good health and happiness, and send lots of hugs filled with holiday cheer!

Some of those photos are stunning! I agree, the one with the lady on the porch looks like it could have been taken over a hundred years ago. My sister and I had the most wonderful time. I hope more people will be able to make it to the Victorian Festival next year. It should not be missed.

Looks like a wonderful time was had by all! The costumes were especially beautiful this year, transporting the viewer back to another time. Thank you for sharing your delightful day with all of us. Merry Christmas!

Stunning photos! You can just feel the majic of Christmas looking at the ones with Santa & the children. We should wear that look all year long!

Wonderful photos ! Everyone looked so great….especially timeless is the photo of the lady strolling along the mercantile…. the image could almost have been recorded over a century ago. Eerie in its authenticity.
