To enhance your viewing pleasure and to make each and every episode of The Fabulous Beekman Boys as fabulous as possible, we’re going to encourage the playing of a nice parlor game.

Each week, we’ve posted a new Beekman 1802 elixir recipe for you to use and give you a new reason to “raise your glass”—–right up to your mouth that is.

In honor of the announcement of Season 2 of the show, we thought the finale deserved the popping of a cork.   Click here for the “how, too

Raise your glass at the end of the episode in honor of the cast, the animals, the community, the crew, and all of the fans who helped make Season 1 of the show the surprise hit of the summer.  You deserve it!!

Love your show. It really is a lovely inspiration for making things happen and living well with a well edited life that one has created for themselves. Hate to have to wait until next year for season two. Please have more episodes next season.

I've spent years asking people that come in my house to take off their shoes. I get funny reactions. Doesn't it just make sense to take off the shoes your wear outside before going inside?

What a great show! Would not miss it. I thought of Brent today as i made a batch of soap, what a "hoot" to get with Brent and make soap and make sure Josh is there to wrap it. I even have my husband watching the show and he is hooked.

okay, i am finally ready to confess: i'm a josh/brent/beekman whore. it's official!!! i LOVE you guys. i love your creativity, your "joie de vivre" as a whole….and, what is most wonderful is that as you mentioned, we all can share and learn from one another…….tell our stories to one another, laugh and cry together. after all, isn't that what it's all about?

hugs to all the critters/humans at Beekman,

Terri

Hello you wonderful TWO and Fabulous support system people!

I am wife to a professional winemaker here in rural WV Oregon. My husband-love and I have been working toward a sustainable lifestyle including heritage breed chickens, organic garden, our first turkeys (although we lost Haas to a huge skunk)and our two little children whom I non-religiously home educate. I work in the winery's lab on weekends, and am responsible for fermentations during harvest. My world was not too far from both of yours…I am from event planning in the Napa Valley for the Walt Disney Family Winery, and San Francisco, then The Benson Hotel in PDX, OR. We have made great "years of sacrifice too" to work toward who we want to be, and it is FABULOUS to know the two of you are doing this! Please oh please advise me about butchering our turkey on Thanksgiving Day. I watched this show, but lots was left out. I deeply appreciate it:) BIG LOVE and admiration to you all!

I was sad to watch the last show of the season this week but look forward to next season. I was also sad that Josh seemed so sad about his extension and mentioned "leaving Brent for good" seperations are difficult,my husband spent 20 years in the military and was in Saudi twice and Korea once..that was the longest time a years with 30 days off after six months. We didnt see each other on the weekends or talk to each other at night. I hope Josh wasnt serious..being with the person that you love is worth waiting for..relationships take work..sometimes hard work. I hope to see you both next season….together 🙂

Wow!! I am just coming off of back surgery and discovered your television show and Planet Green for the first time the day of the marathon/finale as I recooperate. What a treat. I was afraid I would split my incision I laughed so hard. I also shared tears with Farmer John, you, and Josh.

There is so little on television I enjoy but your show is a gem.

I can't wait to read Josh's book and try your goat cheese.

PS. We have a local farm that raises organic grass fed cattle. The owner gave us a tour and mentioned his vet bill for the entire herd for a year was only $250 because the cows are eating the way mother nature intended.

Brent, I love that you actually respond to comments on your blog. So few people actually take the time to do that. I love the show and I totally get your obsession with cleaning/order. It makes my brain work better when things are in order. 🙂

Hello Boys from Maryland. Over the summer I taught montessori summer camp with my boss and her daughter. We went ga ga over you…not lady ga ga but beekman ga ga. We love you. Read Josh's first book and watched all episodes and talked about them Thursday am over coffee when the kids were coming in. It might not have been appropriate with the mint champagne but it may have made our day go by more fabulously. Anyway, we have an amazing "outside classroom" or garden here on site. I have proposed that we take a professional development weekend retreat to your town. So great that season two will be coming…not soon enough. Congrats and thanks for making love not so black and white or man and woman and for helping to create great conversations at the coffee maker.

But we'll be toasting to both of you tonight, celebrating a wonderful first season and many more great things to come… the growth of your brand, of your relationship, and of your show in season two. Guys I look forward to your show – you are both delightful and such fun. I am thrilled that your show will continue. Can we see more of the inside of your home and a question….doesn't Brent miss being a doctor?

Hi, Barbara

You can see lots of photos of the house by clicking on the photo gallery tab from the homepage. I don't waste time "missing" things. Life is too short and there are too many things to learn about and experience

Hello Guys,

It's great you mentioned parlor games. I enjoy conversation with friends when they visit, but I am always on the look out for activities that will make our time together as enjoyable as possible.

Some of them don't try new things very often, especially food. I'm hoping to open their minds with your cheese and jam I ordered yesterday, while playing a great Victorian parlor game called "Alphabet Minute". ( I was considering "Blindman's Bluff" but I can't run the risk of people knocking over things in the living room.) 🙂

I recently started to entertain again after taking a break from having people come into my house and leaving a mess. I decided keeping friends was more important than maintaining clean floors, coffee table, and bathroom at all times. Besides, I'll just dig out the gloves and cleaning supplies once they leave.

Brent, I love the fact that you have no trouble telling people to take off their shoes. Your floors are beautiful. I wish I had your bravery.

Hi, Toni

Try having a little mat for shoes outside your door with a little basket for footies. People will understand and you won't even have to tell them
