Beekman 1802 Farm
Beekman 1802 Farm is situated on 60 acres of mostly pastures. The original owner, William Beekman, owned thousands of acres in the region and as well several businesses. Located just south of Sharon Springs, NY in Schoharie County, the farm is in the heart of what was once called “the breadbasket of the American Revolution.” The very fertile soils grew much of the food that supplied the Colonial American Army, and its importance was such that many battles were fought over the land.
Now Beekman 1802 is home to over 130 dairy goats, owned and tended to by “Farmer John.” Several dozen chickens, a few pigs, a rotating cast of barn cats, and one very diva llama round out the inhabitants of Beekman 1802 Farm.
No chemicals are used on the land at Beekman 1802 Farm, and our animals are cared for using the most progressively humane methods.
