I love Brussels sprouts but my husband ( God rest his soul ) did not. When I was little my mother encouraged us to try a bite of everything on our plates. That worked fine for my family. It was not like that for my sweetheart. His mother had a different view. My husband was expected to eat everything and not get up from the table until all presented was eaten. Alas, the Brussels sprouts…..he hated them. One time he was given those lovely sprouts for supper. You can imagine how long he sat there before he got a brilliant idea! He waited until his mother left the room and fed the dog his Brussels sprouts! Guess what?!!! The dog didn’t like them either and up they came!!! Boy did he get into trouble! I never misused him like that. I sacrificed my veggie loves for him. Do you think he knows I just told you this story? I don’t think he’d mind. He liked to tell the story himself. I wish you would cook for me. It is hard to cook for one. Those Brussels sprouts look delicious!
Sooooo glad to find you guys again
I love brussel sprouts, pretty much the only one in our who does. Bob has planted them in our garden for me, very good but very small. Still trying to figure out what he’s doing wrong. Any way this recipe is so good, didn’t change a thing.
